JELLO SLUSH PUNCH
4 c. sugar
3 c. water
2 sm. or 1 lg. box cherry Jello (use lime for green punch)
2 tsp. almond extract
1 qt. hot water
1 lg. can pineapple juice
1 (8 oz.) bottle lemon juice or juice from 6 lemons
1 gallon water
Boil sugar and water to dissolve sugar. Dissolve Jello in hot water. Mix with other ingredients. Add enough water to make 2 gallons. Put in freezer and stir or shake as it freezes to make a slush
RED PUNCH
1 lg. pkg. cherry or black cherry Jello
1 presweetened pkg. cherry Kool Aid
1 lg. can frozen lemonade
1 tall can pineapple juice
RED CHRISTMAS PUNCH
1 (46 oz.) can pineapple juice
1 sm. can frozen lemon juice
1 sm. can frozen orange juice
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 packs cherry kool-aid
1 pkg. cherry Jello (dissolved in hot water)
Mix all together and add enough water to make 1 gallon. Set aside and when ready to serve, add 6 small 7-Ups. Will serve about 50 people.
Boil 2 quarts of water in large pan. Add Kool Aid and Jello and stir until dissolved. Remove from heat. Add 4 cups cold water, lemonade and pineapple juice. Refrigerate. Right before serving add cold ginger ale.
HOT CHRISTMAS CRANBERRY PUNCH
2 (12 oz.) cans frozen cranberry apple juice (or 2 (48 oz.) bottles cranberry-apple juice)
10 whole cloves
6 (3") cinnamon sticks, broken
1 lemon
Cut lemon into thin slices. Mix juice according to directions on can in a large saucepan. Add remaining ingredients and bring to boil. Boil gently 10 minutes. Remove and discard spices. Serve warm.
CHRISTMAS WASSAIL PUNCH
1 (6 oz.) can frozen orange juice concentrate, diluted as directed
1 c. sugar
1 med. size bottle maraschino cherries
Few drops peppermint extract or 2 sticks peppermint candy
12 whole cloves
3/4 c. lemon juice
2 sm. cans unsweetened pineapple juice
2 qt. unsweetened apple cider
Tea or water
6 (or more) cinnamon sticks
Mix all ingredients, except cinnamon sticks and tea. Heat and simmer for 2 hours. When ready to serve, dilute with as much tea or water as desired. Serve hot in mugs, swirling punch in mug a couple of times with a cinnamon stick, if desired. Serves 30 to 40. This will keep refrigerated for 2 weeks, if not diluted.
